YOU SHOULD FOLLOW CASINO NEWS

You may not think it's of any value to follow the corporate news of the Las Vegas Casino Industry but it is.
Yeah I know it's boring, but a quick scan of the casino and gambling news can reap rewards that will stretch your gambling dollar.
Changes happen frequently and very quickly in the Las Vegas gaming industry, and when they do, it affects the way casinos conduct business and deal with gamblers.
When a change of any kind occurs in a casino, even if it's just the installation of improved "sneeze guards" in the buffet, you can expect what's called a "relaunch" of the property. Oh by the way, "property," is Las Vegas parlance for a casino.
Casino bosses take every opportunity to promote their property and bring in new gamblers.
Be on the lookout for casino ownership changes or mergers, announcements of major property renovations or a proposed revamp of a casino's theme, or shifts in top management.
All these events should raise flags for the cost conscious gambler.
The Las Vegas gaming industry loves publicity and with fierce competition from gambling establishments in other states, now, more than ever, casino executives are ramping up efforts to attract new gamblers.
Whenever a casino undertakes a change you can expect some form of enticement, or "comp," to be offered.
This is especially true if, e.g. a renovation is planned that might make the casino temporarily a bit unattractive or difficult to navigate because of construction.
No casino wants to lose gamblers while they're in the process of attempting to make the property more attractive to its clientele.
What you can expect are twofer's for the casino's restaurants, they don't want gamblers leaving the property for a meal, so they'll offer a two for one, or half price coupon for individuals.
In addition, and perhaps of greater importance to the gambler, are the gambling "credits," that are offered.
These come in the form of generous credits to a gambler's Player's Club accounts. The usual offer is something like "gamble $100.00 and receive $50.00 in free play, usually on the slot machines, which are the most popular games in all casinos.
However these credits can sometimes also be used in other areas of the casino.
You will have to be a member of the casino's "Player's Club" in order to take advantage of these offers but that's a no-brainer anyway.
You should always join the casino's Player's Club, which is free, and takes only a few minutes. Simply joining the club usually results in some immediate worthwhile freebies, such as thank you credits, hats and who knows what else.
Membership in these clubs also gets you on the casino's mailing list which will result in valuable, exclusive offers in your mailbox.
The photo above is of the residential towers section of the brand new "Red Rock Las Vegas Casino," which is just minutes from my house.
Residential towers are a new concept in Las Vegas, not only can you gamble, dine and stay as a visitor in a casino's hotel, now you can actually live on property!
Not long ago I had a great twofer from them and wrote about it in "The Celebrities Weblog."
Here's the link if you want to check it out.
Have fun and good luck!
