There's a raft of shows running on TV that profile some of the great Las Vegas casino cheats and scammers of the past, but those days are over.

At one time Las Vegas casinos were vulnerable to almost any type of con artist. Even those with crude systems could take the casinos for hundreds of thousands, indeed millions of dollars, before they eventually got caught.

And, basically, they all got caught.

But nowadays, with ultra sophisticated surveillance systems and highly trained security personnel it's virtually impossible to rip off a casino.
