I'm ready for some football, and so are most other sports fans.

Many years ago, back East in New Jersey, and then in philadelphia, I used to play the illegal "cloverleaf," betting slips. I never missed a week, and I had a perfect record for about 11 seasons, I never won. But that's just me.

Sports gambling is legal in Las Vegas, and there are sports books galore in which to place one's bets. They have an atmosphere all their own, smoky, and loaded with beered up guys trying to keep track of a half dozen games at once.

At least that's what I'm told.

Of course a gambler can bet on any sport but football reigns supreme.

This year, and only in Las Vegas, there's a new form of excitement which is called "The World Series of Sports Handicapping," and it kicks off on September 7th.

The competition will pit the country's best handicappers against each other for $100,000.00 purse, and is sponsored by "Play Fast", and if you gamble on a football, check it out.
