POKER UPDATE
by jim on January 25, 2007

I've always held that a good offence is key in sports, until I switched from fullback to linebacker. Then I suddenly realized that aggressive defensive play can be as or even more effective than offense. The same holds true with Poker.
In football an effective offense prevents the opponent from achieving his objective, and when you think about it, not letting the other team gain ground is the same as gaining ground for your team's offense.
The same theory can be applied to your Poker game.
Here's a good explanation of how to use defensive Poker strategy to stymie your opponent.
This article explains how "rebounding" in Poker can make the opposition play your game.
For reference purposes here's a glossary of Poker terms and explanations in "Wikipedia".
