Las Vegas may be in the Mojave Desert but there are still opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts to engage in water related activities as you can see in this video.
Nearby Lake Mead offers excellent fishing, and there are a variety of sightseeing boats many of which serve lunch and during the evening trips, full course dinners
Of course both lakes offer swimming, water skiing, and boat and jet-ski rentals. For those of you who trailer their water craft there are many launching facilities and RV and tent camp sites are also available.
Lake Mojave is technically part of Lake Mead, the southern part, but it is considered a separate body of water. Here's the Lake Mojave website.
Lake Mead offers more in the way of spectacular scenery for photo buffs, has hiking trails, picnic areas, and a few good restaurants. Visit Lake Mead's website here.
