VISIT RENO AFTER LAS VEGAS

Las Vegas is hot, not only in an entertainment sense, but, big surprise, it's very hot temperature wise too.
Well Las Vegas is in the mojave desert so it's going to be hot. In fact last week my trusty outdoor thermometer registered 118 degrees one day.
Plenty of people like that kind of heat though and the proof of it is that The Strip is crowded with wide-eyed tourists.
If you have the time, and like taking road trips, you can beat the heat and still have your gambling fun by taking a run up to Reno, "The Biggest Little City in the World."
Reno is in the "high desert" region and is more like a forest than desert. You'll also find more of an "Old West" theme up in Reno along with a more relaxed form of excitement.
Here's Reno's official website, and a report on the famous Stockman's Casino.
