Today we'll take a quick look at one of Las Vegas most popular local casinos, "The Orleans".
One of the features that attract so many people to Las Vegas is the diverse architecture of the themed casinos.
While most of the residential areas of Las Vegas boast typical southwestern architecture the casinos allow one to be immersed in a variety pseudo-foreign environments.
The big Strip mega-resorts have a heavy emphasis on European styling, such as "The Paris" and "The Venetian", but the "locals" casinos tend to mimic buildings found in America.
Many visitors prefer staying at these locals casinos, most of which are just off The Strip, in order to avoid the heavy traffic when then want to strike out and explore off Strip attractions. They are also popular with RV'ers because of their huge, easy to navigate parking lots, some with areas set aside for RV's.

THAT is no New Orleans. Probably a nice place to stay but don't delude yourself that this is anything more than Disney World.

Located just off the Las Vegas Strip, the Orleans Hotel las vegas is right in the center of it all. Its sister Casino the Gold Coast is just a short walk away, but you can enjoy free shuttle service to this location or the Orleans other sister property, the Barbary Coast when you stay as a guest at the Orleans Las Vegas. The 1886 rooms of the Orleans are a generous 450 square feet. The standard guest rooms offer an option of two queens or one king-sized bed. There is also a separate seating area with views facing the Vegas strip.
