VISIT LAS VEGAS RED ROCK CANYON

Source:www.jimippolito.com

This video takes you to The Red Rock National conservation area, a scenic wonder about a half hour from the Las Vegas Strip.

Getting to Red Rock is easy; just take Charleston Boulevard, which eventually becomes route 160, straight to the area. You can't miss it.

If you don't want to drive there are many tour operators in Las Vegas that make the trip several times a day. You have your choice of busses, limousines, and even Hummers, which will then take you into some areas of the preserve not accessible by any other means.

Red Rock features a Visitor's Center with a gift shop and museum as well as desert tortoise displays and examples of native plants.

There is a one-way, 13-mile scenic road that takes you through the area with stop offs at key observation points.

For the hardy traveler there are plenty of trails, and you can also engage in rock climbing, which requires a permit; check the website for details.

Admission is 5 bucks per vehicle.

Red Rock is a great place to bring the kids as there is always something to see and do, both indoors and outside, as you'll see in their website.
