Virgin America & HBO Inaugurate New York To Las Vegas Flights
This is a unique way to kick off a new airline service, but then the route goes to Las Vegas, where the unusual is commonplace.
Virgin America Airlines has teamed up with, believe it or not, "HBO" cable TV to kick off its new JFK New York to Las Vegas airline service.
The hook here, for "HBO", is a tie in with the start of the new season of its immensely popular cable TV show, "Entourage", which starts on Sunday, September 7.
The gimmick is part of Virgin America's launch of their new "Entourage Class" on what is being called "Entourage Air".

Richard Branson’s had a decent crack at Las Vegas online, via his Virgin Games and Virgin Casino, and now he’s further infiltrating Vegas and news media via the HBO and Entourage connection. You can bet the likes of James Packer, Crown, Steve Wynn and Mark Burnett will be watching this space. We sure are. Both mainstream media and casino news media are bound to pick up on the story and further kick along the Virgin media machine, and James Bond and other associated brand entities are likely to do well out of it also. Branson missed out on Northern Rock, but he’s rocking the financial sector in his own way, as usual.
