Texas Hold'em is one of the most popular games around the world. It is thought to have started in Texas in United States in the early 1900s. This is a game which is fun to play and is fast.

It can be dubbed as another variation of standard poker card game. Las Vegas got the first taste of Texas Hold'em in 1967 when it was introduced by a group of Texan gamblers and card players. For several years, Golden Nugget Casino in Downtown Las Vegas was the only casino in Las Vegas to offer this game.

It was only in the 2000s that it gained popularity due to the exposure it received through internet, literature and television. Texas hold 'em is also quite popular online as it can be played cheaply and in an anonymous manner. With increasing access to internet its popularity is expected to surge further in the years to come.
