SNOW IN RED ROCK CANYON LAS VEGAS

Source:www.jimippolito.com

Except for Mount Charleston, which has an elevation in excess of 10,000 feet, snow is a rarity in Las Vegas, although it does occur.

This video gives you a look at how a relatively small amount of the white stuff can transform the reddish brown Spring Mountains into a mini version of the Swiss Alps.

Whenever there is a snow storm practically everyone who can, drops everything, and takes to the hills for a look, or some fun with the kiddies in the snow.

If you would like to see some still photographs I took of the results of a much bigger snow storm in Red Rock, click here, to see them on my personal website.
