Las Vegas continues reinventing itself to insure that visitors will always have the best and most varied gambling experience.
My wife and I had some business in Downtown Las Vegas a few days ago and while there I noticed many improvements to better regulate traffic flow. The city has also beautified the lesser utilized areas which evidences the continuing commitment to upgrade all of Las Vegas.
There's an ongoing upgrading of the off Strip casinos, both downtown, and elsewhere in, and near Las Vegas. Most visitors allow some time to try their gambling skills at non Strip casinos and I highly recommend doing that for a change of pace.
Here's a report on some recently renovated properties with the Downtown Las Vegas "Golden Nugget" casino receiving the thumbs up for a great effort.
The Golden nugget has also done something near and dear to my heart. Their buffet has been upgraded, and prices lowered, so your's truly will be chowing down there soon.
Speaking of eating, I can't help but brag that later in the day my wife and I had lunch with one of Las Vegas' premier residents, Jerry Lewis.
Well, OK, we happened to be in the same Italian deli, but he was eating at the same time as us, so technically we did have lunch with him.
The man looked great despite some recent serious illnesses, and he was his usual jovial self telling stories, and cracking jokes.
You never know who you may see in Las Vegas.
