PROGRESS WITH FUNDING ONLINE GAMBLING

Alternative gambling account funding methods are starting to take hold for online players in the US and abroad and this has returned most online sites to their former activity levels.

As I predicted months ago the loss of credit card usage to fund US online gambler's accounts is quickly becoming a non-issue as fans of online casinos adopt other methods.

At this point, if the Federal Government moralists want to further curtail an adult American's right to do as he or she chooses with their discretionary income it appears that new laws will have to be passed. These laws will have to prohibit gambling itself, rather than the method of funding one's accounts.

I don't see this happening because such a law would leave open the possibility of an outright ban on all gambling in the USA.

What that means is uncertain, but I still believe that all this is about, what else, money, tax money primarily. Once the US government figures out a reliable way to tax American's online gambling winnings I doubt they will care how someone fund's their account and the ban on credit cards will be lifted.

As much as the US government likes to impose its morality of the moment on its citizens, it likes taking its citizens money even more.

Here's the story.
