POKER EXPERTS TO PLAY AGAINST COMPUTER

It's man against machine again, as Phil Laak, shown here, and Ali Eslami take on "Polaris", the Poker program considered to be the best in the world.
This is not the first time such a match has occurred. In 2005 Laak beat Vexbot, an earlier version of the polaris program, at The Rio Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas.
It may not be as easy this time around however, because the computer's programmers claim to have removed the element of luck from the bot, and everything will be based solely on skill.
The match will be held July 23-24 in Vancouver, Canada.
