There's no doubt that Poker is now the most popular game among gamblers, but just how popular is it?

"Texas Hold 'Em" is by far the Poker game of choice among Poker aficionados with traditional Stud Poker occupying second place. Poker fans love their games whether they are playing in Las Vegas Casinos, online or with friends.

Just as New York has its "Off Broadway" playhouses to compliment its top of the line "Broadway" playhouses, I guess you could say that Las Vegas has its "Off Vegas" casinos in the form of hundreds of casinos outside of Las Vegas.

New York's theaters have long lines of fans waiting to buy tickets, and now, casinos have Poker fans waiting for a vacant seat in their Poker rooms.

The popularity of Poker is such that the Belterra Casino has instituted the use of beepers to alert Poker players to seat openings while they pursue other interests in the casino.

As I expected, some enterprising online gambling sites have already established alternative methods for Americans to fund their accounts.

Poker players expressed their displeasure with their elected representatives who supported the anti-online gambling bill by voting many of them out of office, as detailed in this article.

In two years the American voting public will again have the opportunity to let the candidates know that they are not in agreement with those politicians who try to tell them what they can or can't do with their discretionary income.
