NORTH TO LAS VEGAS

This video gives you a look at the trip along US I15 North from Primm, Nevada, to Las Vegas. This is the major approach route to Las Vegas from California and the road has been widened several times, and is again being widened in an attempt to keep up with the ever increasing traffic.
You will also have a panoramic look at Buffalo Bill's Casino and the industrial and residential construction along the route.
There's actually a lot more going on in this area than the casual observer would note. A rail line still operates further to the east, parallel to the highway, and here and there one sees small but thriving businesses that are accessible via the Old California Highway. That road is actually a continuation of The Las Vegas Strip.
Yes, The Strip extends that far south and some day it may become almost as busy as the northern part, if an auxiliary airport, now in the planning stages is built.
You'll see the Southcoast Casino under construction which has since been completed, and then sold, and renamed the South Point.
Finally Las Vegas looms in the distance and you'll see a bit of the south end of The Strip, which, after miles of wild desert looks like an oasis.
This area is being built out rapidly and I can envision a time, in the not too distant future, when there is nearly uninterrupted construction from Las Vegas to California.
