I went 2-2 again last weekend for a year to date total of 32-21-3.

I'd like to end the regular season on an up note, so let's see what's on tap for the final weekend, which has a plethora of meaningless games from which to choose.

There are a few games that have some meaning to them, but are they the right ones to pick?

Certainly New England wants to win its final game and enter the playoffs as an unbeaten team, only the second such team since the 1972 miami dolphins.

But, can they overcome the 15 point spread against the New York Giants?

I'm going out on a limb and picking New England, away, minus 15. Note that this game will be played tomorrow, December 29.

The Patriots have something to gain, an undefeated season, so I expect them to play hard. The Giants however are in as a wildcard, and have home field advantage; they can't do any better than that, so why go all out and risk injury.

The Vikings are a mediocre team, in my opinion, yet they can help their own cause by beating the hapless Broncos.

Even if the Vikings win, the Redskins have to lose in order for them to get a wildcard slot, but they have to win so they'll play hard and we'll take the Vikings, away, minus 3, over Denver.

The Redskins have to win to get into the playoffs via the final wildcard slot.

While that's all the incentive they should need, they are playing the top team in the NFC, the Cowboys. But, the Cowboys have everything nailed down including home field throughout the playoffs.

So the Cowboys may not be all that motivated and may rest many starters, but of course the back up guys will have something to prove and could play all out.

I'll take a chance on the underdog Cowboys, away, plus 9.

There aren't any other games of consequence so for the 4th pick this week I'll go with Pittsburg, away, minus 4, over Baltimore.
