Slot machine news continues to dominate The Las Vegas gambling scene this month.

A new type of slot machine based on computer servers has been approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission and the new "Game Stations", as they're being called, will soon be rolled out on a test basis at two major Las Vegas casinos.

"Game Stations" is an appropriate name for this new breed of slot machine since a variety of different games can be remotely programmed into it much the same as home gamers change game cartridges in their home video game systems.

You can read my posting about these machines here.

The machines are made by Progressive Gaming and will feature progressive jackpots linked to several casinos so the jackpots should be sizable.

Here's the detailed story.
