Las Vegas has several shopping malls each with its own distinctive flair, but less than an hour's drive down I15 South gets you to the Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas, a veritable haven for the cost conscious shopper searching for high end clothing.
This video takes you on a journey down I15 South through the rapidly developing area between Las Vegas and the California border.
A scant few years ago this entire area was barren desert, but now there are huge housing developments on both sides of the road as well as a smattering of commercial installations, and additional construction continues.
Be sure to stop at the Nevada Welcome Center in the mall parking lot for maps, information and discount coupons of all kinds.
There are bus trips from Las Vegas to the mall, some of which include stops at the three casinos down there, so you can try your gambling skills down there as well.
If you drive down, there are two other casinos, "The Nevada Landing Casino", and "The Gold Strike Casino", one on each side of the road, located at Jean, Nevada, about 12 miles north of the mall, so you have additional choices for gambling and dining at these properties.
I have to make a trip down there again soon and I will create more detailed videos of the casinos so you can have a close look at some of the alternatives to The Strip, and "locals" Las Vegas Casinos, so stay tuned for more.

To call it just a mall would be to call Las Vegas just a desert town. A must-see tourist attraction in its own right, Fashion Outlets also offers unbelievable savings on top-of-the-line and designer merchandise. It's worth the short ride to save up to 75% off at more than 100 designer outlets all in an enclosed air-conditioned setting.
