LAST LOOK AT THE STARDUST CASINO

Here's a bit of a look at the North end of The Strip where the remnants of old Las Vegas are being replaced slowly but surely.

Of particular note is the shell of The Stardust Casino which in its heyday was the place to go.

As you can see in this video it's being gutted and will soon go down as the result of another famous Las Vegas implosion.

Here's the link to what's left of its website.

There's a lot of Las Vegas history in this still busy little area near the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, such as "The Frontier", now known as "The New Frontier", which was the scene of a year's long strike by one of the now mostly impotent Las Vegas labor unions.

It wasn't until I got home and previewed this video that I noticed that the ad for "Gilley's" featured female mud wrestling.

Maybe my wife will take me there; she's always been a patron of the arts.
