Native American culture permeates the Las Vegas area, and unknown to many, Native Americans play an active role in the development of the land.
Because so much of Las Vegas is or was Native land, whenever ground is broken on these lands a contingent of Native Americans is part of the ceremony.
Special rituals and dances are performed to honor their ancestors who walked the area now known as Las Vegas and blessings are bestowed to insure success for the venture.
Yes, Native America is now involved with corporate America.
Two of the most revered dances are "The Eagle Dance" and "The Buffalo Dance", due to the significance of these animals for both spiritual and practical reasons.
This video contains performances of both of these traditional Native American dances.
