As I expected it looks as if US corporate interests may enter the online gambling business.
It appears that the "MGM Grand" is actively looking into the possibility of establishing an online gambling enterprise.
I'm not in the least bit surprised about this possibility that has been reported in this article.
Is this the start of a new round of American online gambling?
"Lottery Post" speculates that the current US ban on credit card funded online gambling will not work and I agree.
I'm not a businessman, and I can think of several ways in which online gambling by Americans can be funded legally, and I'm sure the magnates of industry have figured this out too.
There's no doubt in my mind that this whole American ban on online gambling is all about taxes and not morality as the soon to be gone Senator Frist would have you believe. After the last of the foreign online gambling sites have either gone out of business, or totally closed off American access I'm sure the congress will have a second look at the law, and once they're assured that Uncle Sam will get his cut the law will be repealed.
I think we're seeing the start of it already as American gambling concerns start positioning themselves for their slice of the pie.
