The city of Las Vegas offers more to its residents and visitors than just casinos. Check out this video for a look at one of our libraries.

It might sound funny to suggest that vacationers visit a library but the libraries of Las Vegas, which are part of The Clark County Library System, offer exhibits and displays, as well as live entertainment throughout the year.

The library system sponsors educational classes of every imaginable type for people of all ages, multi-cultural events, art exhibits, and much more.

There are frequent book signings by famous authors, such as Clive Cussler, whom my wife and I met. He, by the way, was one of the most engaging, interesting and polite people we ever had the pleasure of meeting. One would never know that he is one of the most accomplished, best selling authors in the world from his 'regular guy" mannerisms.

In fact, next month, Jon O'Hurley, of "Seinfeld," and "dancing with the stars" fame, has written a book and will be here for a signing.
