I love fireworks and it seems that every year the displays get better and better.

Las Vegas is fireworks crazy and commercial enterprises here take every opportunity to light up the skies. Aside from the 4th of July, store and other business openings, special sales and other promotions, casino openings naturally, and special events call for a fireworks display.

This video is of the 4th of July display put on every year at Desert Breeze Park, about a half mile from my house, but still visible from home. The fireworks are preceded by a day of free family activities and conclude with concerts.

The residents of Las Vegas tend to be very patriotic and, of course, fun loving, and with fireworks being legal here there are tons of them set off during the 4th of July. In fact, most of what you hear in this video are my neighbors setting off their own pyrotechnics.

City officials in Las Vegas are determined to make the city the place to be to celebrate New Year's Eve, and the fireworks displays sponsored by The Strip casino's are elaborate and always features the latest technology.
