Apparently the new competition from Macau, which las vegas casino owners are heavily invested in, has spurred renewed interest in the city, by some heavyweight investors.
Even long-term residents like me, who are used to constant building and rebuilding, are astounded by what appears to be a whole new round of mega-resorts on the drawing boards, in addition to those already under construction.
This is good news for the gambler because new casinos mean increased perks and better odds, at least until the property is well established, and it caused existing casinos to match the offers.
The latest multi-billion dollar resort to be announced is the Fountainebleau Fountainebleau.
