LAS VEGAS CASINO OWNERS GETTING GREEDIER

It's no secret that the corporate America owned Las Vegas casinos routinely tighten the belt another notch in order to squeeze a few cents more out of gamblers.
In fact, over the past decade these guys have found ways to lower wages and currently casino mogul Steve Wynn is trying to get his dealers to subsidize his manager's salaries!
As I always say, "You can find anything in Las Vegas," and now that includes innovative ways to screw the worker class.
Now it seems the casino owners are considering cutting into Poker players winnings a bit more by increasing the "rake" as explained in this article.
Years ago when I lived in New Jersey the much heralded atlantic city casinos
opened, and, like most people, I couldn't wait to try my luck in them. While the casinos were lavish and pleasant the attitude of the personnel was anything but friendly. I was greatly dismayed at the way they basically just wanted patrons to turn over their money and get the hell out.
This contrasted dramatically with what I had experienced in Las Vegas back then when everyone was friendly and wanted gamblers to have fun.
Now it looks like this "Atlantic City" attitude is starting to permeate the scene here in Las Vegas.
Don't get me wrong; Las Vegas is still a great place for the gambler, but, it wouldn't hurt if visitors were to let their feelings known to casino management if they feel that the payout isn't quite what it should be.
You may find too that visiting the smaller or "locals" casinos may result in a better deal.
