It's no secret that the City of Las Vegas has been drooling for years over the prospect of getting a professional sports franchise to move here. Now it seems that the first real steps are being taken to make it feasible.

Aside from the concerns over having a pro sports team in a city in which sports gambling is legal the lack of a suitable venue has always been a stumbling block.

But now, Harrah's has partnered up with AEG to build a modern indoor sports arena in conjunction with other attractions.

Here's the press release about the 20,000 seat Las Vegas Sports Center that may finally bring an NBA or NFL team to The Strip.

"Sports Illustrated also reported the story about Harrah's increasing involvement with pro sports.
