HARRAH'S CASINOS EXPANDS TO ENGLAND

The race is on, everyone wants a bit of Las Vegas in their country.

"Harrah's" took the plunge and bought out the prestigious London Clubs International in its bid to be a major player in the European gaming industry.

This is a bit of a gamble for Harrah's as other casino's previous connections to the London Clubs, in Las Vegas, have produced less than sterling results.

But gambling is what the casino industry is all about and Harrah's has high hopes for its latest venture.

This is one of those situations I mentioned in an earlier post. Traditionally when a casino makes a big move one can expect increased advertising and promotions to draw attention and attract investors

One way of accomplishing this is to offer comps and deals because increased floor traffic generates additional income which in turn causes stock prices to rise.

I'll be watching my mailbox and checking the newspapers for restaurant and buffet twofer's!
