Laughlin, Nevada is about an hour and a half drive outside of Las Vegas and offers the same types of casinos with the opportunity to have some fun on the Colorado River.
The Golden Nugget Casino in Laughlin is well established and is part of a larger operation based in Las Vegas.
While considered to be more or less a "distant suburb" of Las Vegas, Laughlin has differences designed to attract gamblers, and of course, it is less expensive than Las Vegas.
The latest attraction being offered is at the Golden nugget and it marks a return of sorts to the old Las Vegas type of casino when there was live entertainment in the casino area.
