The island of Macau, of the coast of the Chinese mainland has blossomed into an Asian Las Vegas, mostly with funding provided by Las Vegas casino owners.

Was that a dumb thing for American casino owners to do; not if your goal is wealth.

That, despite what Las Vegas casino owners may say about loyalty to Las Vegas, is really what they're all about, and the source of the money is of no consequence to them.

Yes Macau's casinos have siphoned off some of the Asian traffic that used to come to Las Vegas, because of the shorter distance, but of course the money generated there mostly ends up in American pockets anyhow.

So don't despair, Las Vegas has not been forgotten, that money is being used to elevate Las Vegas' position in the world of gaming with even more spectacular casinos and related attractions.

The attempt to turn Las Vegas into a family destination with child friendly properties was a huge disaster, and little by little the adults are reclaiming the one place in America adults can be adults.

Now don't get me wrong, Las Vegas still has plenty of family oriented entertainment. The new properties that are planned will feature even more activities for kids, but this time around, the adults will have their own playgrounds, so to speak.

The new properties will concentrate on features that are uniquely American, such as America in Miniature, something that will only be found in Las Vegas.

These one of a kind experiences are what keeps American visitors coming back, and forges new inroads with foreign gamblers.

The constant remakes of, and additions to existing successful properties such as Caesar's and The Venetian spark renewed interest in Las Vegas, and as you will see in this article, the real action is still in Las Vegas.
