Personally I think that when it comes to most forms of gambling plain old luck plays the biggest role. Some people seem to have good luck and others don't. Luck even plays a part in skill based gambling, such as Poker, in my opinion. If you're lucky you could be playing against other people who aren't all that good at the game.
Anyway the whole idea is to have fun and no matter what you think about all this it still is fun to speculate about whether or not a slot machine's position in a casino makes a difference.
