It seems impossible but today marks the day Elvis died, 30 years ago. I still remember walking by a news stand early that morning and seeing the headline, "The King Is Dead", on nearly every paper. I stopped short and stared at it, not wanting to believe it.
Here in Las Vegas we have a special affinity for "The King", and, Elvis never did leave the room.
As testament to Elvis eternal popularity just a few weeks ago I reported on an upcoming Elvis themed casino.
People love Elvis, and in Las Vegas, home to who knows how many Elvis impersonators, there are Elvis weddings galore and Elvis themed events of all kinds.
Here's news of the latest Elvis happenings and word about the Cirque du Soleil Elvis show .
The King is dead, long live the King!
