The question of whether or not there is such a thing as "loose" slot machines has been asked for as long as slot machines have been in existence.
A "loose" slot machine is one that pays out more frequently than the average machine.
The answer in a word is, yes, but it gets a bit more complicated when you start to question just how casinos define loose slot machines.
Rather than give you my own rationale, I'll direct you to an excellent article on the subject of loose slots, written by of all people, a non-gambler, Kurt Loder, of "MTV", of all places.
And, while we're on the subject of slot machines, here's part 2 of an article that deals with slot machine myths and truths that will be helpful to players in Las Vegas, and anywhere else where slots are found.
