Las Vegas, as you have seen from previous videos, is a city that promotes community involvement in a variety of ways. Since Las Vegas is located in a desert, water is valuable, and is rapidly becoming a scarce commodity.

The Las Vegas Water District goes out of its way to promote water conservation, while allowing for people's desire to have amenities such as pools and gardens.

As a part of its effort the Water District maintains several facilities that are free, where classes and demonstrations are conducted for the purpose of educating the public on matters regarding water conservation and safety.

The City of Las Vegas, along with Clark County, the State of Nevada, and various Federal Agencies, work in concert to insure a clean, safe, and healthy environment in which to live. These are important considerations for those of you are considering making Las Vegas your home.

The Desert Demonstration Gardens website has been deactivated and replaced by the "Springs Preserve" site, the new facility where the gardens will be located.

The new location is just across the street from the old one.
