CITY WITHIN A CITY IN LAS VEGAS

Even a long time resident of Las Vegas, such as me, sometimes finds it hard to believe that the city continues reinventing itself, so to speak, on an ongoing basis.
MGM-Mirage, which now controls most of the Las Vegas Strip, is currently in the process of building what is being called, "City Center", probably because the project is located more or less in the center of the city.
This project will indeed be the equivalent of a self sustaining city with housing, in the form of high-rise condos, gambling, entertainment, shopping and who knows what else.
Here's a report on the progress of this massive project.
Obviously Las Vegas is a "money" town but it still boggles my mind as to just how many well to do people are moving here. I mean, these Strip condos aren't exactly reasonably priced.
But for those who can afford them and prefer this style of living they will probably be quite happy with their choice.
