There's been news that a long-time NBA referee, Tim Donaghy, may have been gambling on games he officiated and worse yet, made some calls favorable to his cause.
Was there a tie between the official and organized crime?
The investigation is just getting underway and only time will tell just how deeply this thing goes, if anywhere.
In the meantime the situation raises the question of how, or if, this affected legitimate sports bettors in Las Vegas.
