POKER UPDATE
by jim on October 27, 2006

The U.S ban on Internet gambling has caused a ruckus throughout the world and other countries are fighting back.
Britain's Culture Secretary is highly critical of the U.S. ban on Internet gambling, and has likened it to the failed attempt at prohibiting liquor years ago, and she's not alone in her feelings.
Several European online Poker sites have stated that they will continue accepting credit card funded gambling accounts from Americans. This article claims the ban won't stop online gambling online gambling.
As I've said in the past, I don't gamble online, primarily because my other hobbies suck up all my discretionary income, but I see nothing wrong with it.
I'm sick of this nanny society that is evolving here; adults should be free to do what they want as long as it's not inherently dangerous, such as shooting heroin.
