BCS Quashes College Football Playoff System

Despite the fact that most fans of college football have been clamoring for years for a playoff system to determine the National Champion it is not to be.

Well, I had high hopes for a playoff system for college football, but once again the movers and shakers have decided to go with the status quo undoubtedly because there's more money in the current system, despite what the BCS people say.

I feel that I need only point to the 2007 NFL season and playoffs as proof that more than just the two top ranked teams have a shot at the championship.

The fact that a wild card team, the New York Giants, came out on top is reason enough to have a playoff system for college football. This would give teams that came on strong late in the season a fair shot at the #1 ranking.

But who am I along with the millions of other college football fans who want a playoff system akin to the NFL's?
