Frequent visitors to Las Vegas as well as local gamblers all have their favorite casino, or two, or three.
Each casino has its own distinctive flavor, even the local casinos that belong to a large chain differ from each other.
But aside from the atmosphere there are other reasons that motivate gamblers to choose one casino over another, such as the types of games offered, food choices, and the notion of luck.
Yes luck, because after all, people gamble to have fun and to win, and it never hurts to have luck.
Back in 1984 I had a run of very good luck at the old Imperial palace, so that's where I went.
