With all the new competition for the gambling dollar from Macau and other places are Las Vegas casinos loosening up a bit?
This is all sheer speculation but you have to admit that there's a bit more than just sheer coincidence in the facts.
June is the start of the vacation season, and payout to Las Vegas gamblers went up considerably from the previous June
September spells the start of a down time for vacationers and travelers, summer is over, school begins, but the gambler's take in Las Vegas increased.
Could that mean that the casinos are offering unadvertised incentives to attract visitors during non-peak times?
I'm not suggesting that there's any manipulation or rigging going on in favor of the gambler. Since the Sports Book bettors also reaped a higher take one has to wonder if the casino's percentage hasn't been shaved a tiny bit by increasing spreads so as to give the gambler better odds.
Of course it could be that the gamblers are getting savvier and maker smarter bets.
Whatever it is it benefits the average Joe and Jane and you read the report here.
