ARE GAMBLERS SAYING CRAPS TO CRAPS?

craps is arguably the most intense and exciting multi-player game in a casino but is its popularity waning?

For years whenever I went into a casino there was a wild time being had at the craps tables.

People watched eagerly as the shooter performed whatever pre-throw ritual he or she felt gave them luck, and as the dice bounced their way down the table, and rebounded off the far wall, shouts and yells accompanied their every move. This was followed by shrieks and screams as "dem bones" came to rest and revealed the dots for that roll.

But these are different times, and although the craps tables still generate their share of excitement, the real action has changed to a quiet form of intensity in the card rooms where Poker now reigns as the game of choice with most gamblers.

There will always be craps tables in Las Vegas casinos, but the days when the rattle of dice was a widespread sound are over. Here's what's going on at "Treasure Island".
