Many years ago I used to throw a few bucks a week on the local sports "pools." They were referred to as "Cloverleafs" because there was a small green 4 leaf clover printed on them for good luck.
The good luck usually befell the bookie when I played them.
Technically this type of betting is referred to as a "parlay card," and they are very popular, and sometimes quite lucrative in Las Vegas.
For those of you unfamiliar with this form of betting, or "proposition," as it is sometimes called, here's the About.com Parlay betting site.
Although the odds are long on these bets, the buy in is low, and you can tailor your card to more or less decide just how much of a long shot you want to go after.
Here's some advice on betting parlay cards by Las Vegas own Jeff Haney and it includes a guide to what the various casinos here are offering.
Give it a try next time you're in Vegas, and good luck!
