Despite being tagged with the nickname, "Sin City", Las Vegas is actually home to more religious people than one would suspect.
The influx of people of Italian and Irish descent during the 40's, 50's and 60's, coupled with large numbers of Hispanics, and again, Italians and Irish who are retired, has made the Catholic Church nearly as popular as the casinos.
I don't know if every little place with a few slot machines, such as convenience stores count, I doubt it, but there are actually more churches in Las Vegas than casinos.
There are churches of all denomination here for people to attend services and pray for that elusive royal flush or implore God for 20 straight passes at the craps table.
The church featured in this video is actually a cathedral, The Guardian Angel Cathedral, which is located on Cathedral Drive, so as you can see, it's not just Rat Packers who get streets dedicated to them.
This text is a link to a page on the World Wide Web.
And everything in Las Vegas gets rated, even the churches, as you can see here.
