A LOSER’S STORY

This may seem like a strange topic to write about but losing is part of any competition.
I always felt that it's best to maintain a positive attitude when undertaking engaging in any activity, whether for fun, or business. There's no point to starting out with the wrong attitude, so by all means be positive, feel like a winner, but always realize that you're not going to come out on top all the time, in all your pursuits.
The goal is to win, but you must have fun, and realize that when gambling, the money you bet is payment for entertainment; if you win, it's a bonus
Tom Pitkethly is a regular guy from Hailey, idaho who loves poker, and this past July he realized a dream and entered the "World Series of Poker."
Although it cost him 10 grand, plus airfare, room, and other costs, and he lost, Tom came away from the experience a happy guy.
Now I don't know about you, but 10K is a lot of money to me, but obviously Tom could afford this kind of play dough, and he made the most of it.
This guy has it right; gambling, of any sort, and Las Vegas in particular, is about having fun, and that's just what he did, he had 10+ thousand bucks worth of fun.
So, set your limit, never gamble more than you can afford to lose and you'll be relaxed and have fun playing poker, or whatever your game is.
Here's another story about a fun poker trip to Las Vegas.
This one is about a guy and his girlfriend, who entered the $22.00 buy-in, daily poker tournament at "The Luxor."
Read this story and see how much fun you can have with a far more modest bankroll.

Sometimes is quite nice and fun to be a lousy looser.

The winner has program, but the Looser has an excuse
The winner says “Let me do it, the looser says “that is not my job.”
The winner is always apart of the Answer the looser is always apart of the problem.
The winner sees an answer to every problem, the looser sees problem in every answer.
The winner says, “it is difficult but possible”, the looser says, “it may be possible but difficult.”

There are a few things in the world, which make us work hard. Day in and day out people spend themselves trying to procure them. Yet many of them elude man. Take for instance, wealth. Man acquires it, but soon spends in for his necessities and comforts. Since time immemorial generations have sought after one thing, i.e., peace. History tells us how kingdom fought against one another just to attain peace.

Poker is a game of people… It’s not the hand I hold, it’s the people that I play with.

This kind of attitude is most welcome in daily life too. Knowing how to lose could make the difference between life and death at some point in your life, whether is money, home, friends or something else very important to you that you may lose. So, heads up and eyes forward, there’s always something great awaiting on the horizon.

Gambling is a masked way of people taking chances, or a rather distorted image of real life danger for some who’s life lack that kind of “thrill”. Still, if you do it, it is indeed wise to know when to stop.
