Let's deal with this question by breaking it up into more specific questions.

First, is your online poker money safe? If you are smart enough, yes. Choose only well-established poker web sites so you won't have any problems. The only time players have trouble with poker rooms stealing their money is when they sign up at a brand new room no one knows about.

Can you trust the poker web site with your financial information? Again, if you deal only with established sites, you should be fine.

Can other players hack into your account? Now comes the real problem. All that protects you from an online thief is your password. Keep in mind that your username is public information. Remember to always choose a very strong password. This would be one that has both lowercase and uppercase letters, as well as numbers and symbols in a random order. Be very careful who you trust with your computer if you save your password on it.

Never, ever give your password out to anyone, especially online. If you are very careful with your password, you will never have a problem.

Ohio Casino Opens Doors For Gambling

A new casino will open in Ohio, which will be the first ever in the area to be built. It seems to be the new craze in the US, with Cleveland emerging with their own casino as well. The new Ohio casino will be competing among many of the well known casinos including Las Vagas casinos. The establishment of the new casino will build more tourism in Ohio, where more businesses can then flourish and grow.

The decision to build the casino has been proposed for several years but it has only been recently that the developments have started. The government of Ohio believes that although this will increase tourism, they hope that the gambling does not solely come from local residents, but rather travelers and outsiders from other states.

Alcohol and the Law in Las Vegas

Filed in archive CASINO NEWS on July 17, 2010

One of the most recent new stories to come out of Nevada's Sin City is that of Terence Watanabe, who lost over 100 million dollars on a losing streak in 2007. His allegations that two casinos in which he gambled kept giving him access to free alcohol and prescription drugs showcased a worrying tactic on the part of the casino owners. Nevada officials are still looking into the allegations, but the story has already provoked debate on the interaction between alcohol and the casinos in Las Vegas.

Currently the law states that casinos are obliged to refuse entry to those that appear "visibly drunk", and that gamblers who get that way inside must be asked to leave. The loophole lies in that the casinos are left to define "visibly drunk" themselves. Indeed, Bill Thompson was quoted in the Las Vegas Review Journal as having said that when certain amounts of money have been reached, there should be a lawful ban on free alcohol provided by the casinos, a move which may just make things a little more honest.

Is Vegas the new haven for Fashionistas?

Is Vegas the new haven for Fashionistas?
© Ken Lund
If you've been to Vegas you'll know that it's a haven for fashionistas! Between the Fashion Show Mall and celeb-spotting on casino floors, your fashion sense will be tantalized by what there is to see. Playing the Slot Machines are great in order to see what's hot, believe it or not. If you plan to play at a casino where celeb-spotting is good, chances are you'll be wearing your most glamorous cocktail dress with a pair of cute heels. You also won't be pushed to see others wearing exclusive labels because it's all part of the glitz and glam of that world.

Boutique shopping on The Strip will leave those wallets a lot lighter so some free games on Facebook are a good idea for a fun and relaxing post-shopping recharge. And for those of you who can't manage a trip to Vegas then some online fashion-themed slot machines is a way to get in on the action! If you use a social networking site like Facebook you can play free social slots using an application like Slot Machines by DiLiGO Games. They have a cute glitzy theme with diamonds, handbags, shoes and a cocktail or two to get you in the mood.

Not All Las Vegas Casinos Pay Out The Same On Blackjack

Not All Las Vegas Casinos Pay Out The Same On Blackjack

I've always cautioned Las Vegas gamblers to do some research on the various casinos here to make sure you spend your money at a place that gives you the biggest bang for the buck.

Therein lies the problem though, determining just what it is that is most important to you in a casino environment, before you choose a place to gamble.

If you're in Vegas strictly for the gambling then you'll want a casino where they have the game or games you want, have surroundings that you are comfortable with, and have gaming odds that you feel are fair.

So why would any Blackjack player gamble at a casino, in this case Harrah's, where the odds aren't as good in almost all the other Strip casinos?

Because Harrah's offers a more club like atmosphere and dealers who tend to be attractive women in skimpy outfits.

So if that counts high on a gambler's "must have" list, he or she should check out places that advertise 6-5 odds rather than the traditional 3-2 odds on a Blackjack.
